The Sunbury Boat Ramp at the end of Ft. Morris Road in Sunbury, Ga., will be closed for 45 days beginning today for a parking lot improvement project.

Effective in 2020, saltwater anglers will see a simple change in the Saltwater Information Program (SIP) permit.

If you’re planning to swim or wade at the beach on St. Simons or Jekyll Islands, the Coastal Health District has some precautionary advice: check the water for any signs of oil, and use common sense before swimming.
