Tallapoosa River VPA

Tallapoosa River VPA is a 3,053-acre property located between Cedartown and Buchanan. Hunting opportunities include deer, turkey (for youth only) and small game. See regulations for details. No ATVs or camping allowed. Hunters utilizing this area for deer or turkey hunting should be sure to check their game using Georgia Game Check and select Public Land option, Polk County, and then Tallapoosa River VPA.

Scotland Road VPA

Scotland Road VPA is a 199-acre area first leased in 2020 that provides deer, small game and turkey opportunities. There is no coyote or hog seasons on this property. Hunters utilizing this area for deer or turkey hunting should be sure to check their game using Georgia Game Check and select Public Land option, Laurens County, and then Scotland Road VPA.

Cedar Grove VPA

Cedar Grove VPA is a 294-acre area first leased in 2020 that provides deer, small game and turkey opportunities. There is no coyote or hog seasons on this property. Hunters utilizing this area for deer or turkey hunting should be sure to check their game using Georgia Game Check and select Public Land option, Laurens County, and then Cedar Grove VPA.

Canoochee Sandhills WMA

Canoochee Sandhills WMA is located in Bulloch and Bryan Counties near Groveland, GA. This 10,224-acre WMA consists of a mix of sandhill, flatwoods, bay swamp, and floodplain forests that border Lotts Creek. Many of the sandy uplands on the area are remnants of ancient wind-blown river dune formations and provide important habitat for gopher tortoises and other animal and plant species considered high priorities for conservation.

Gaither WMA

Gaither WMA is a leased property, made available to the public through the cooperation of the Newton County Board of Commissioners for small game, turkey, and deer hunting. This 2,129-acre tract is located in Newton County has 2 regular deer quota hunts, and 1 youth deer quota hunt. The quota hunt application deadline has already passed for the season.

Horse Creek WMA

Horse Creek WMA resides on just over 7,397 acres in Georgia's coastal plains. Home to the world record Largemouth Bass, which weighed in at over 22 pounds and was caught in 1932, Horse Creek offers a unique spot for visitors, hunters, and anglers alike. Hunting opportunities include deer, turkey and small game and waterfowl hunting in 2 impoundments.

Ball's Ferry

The Ball's Ferry property is located in Toomsboro and is 525 acres. This property offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game and waterfowl. There is a boat ramp that can be used for fishing access. No camping allowed on the area.
