Rental Application for Lots 18X and 19X - Application Open

At the July 17, 2024 meeting, the Sapelo Island Heritage Authority (SIHA) voted unanimously to give the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) the authority to enter into agreements for the use of lots 18X and 19X for the purpose of preserving the cultural heritage, educational spaces, and agriculture of Sapelo Island. Further, the SIHA voted this would be a competitive process and the agreements would be for 2-3 years.

The application period opened on September 1, 2025.  Applications will be submitted to Long Tabby Office PO Box 15, Sapelo Island 31327 and postmarked by October 31st of the respective application year.

Sapelo Island Heritage Authority

The Sapelo Island Heritage Authority was established in order to further the preservation of the cultural and historic values of the Hog Hammock community of Sapelo Island for the benefit of present and future generations.
