John's Mountain Wildlife Management Area is located in Walker, Whitfield, Gordon and Floyd counties on property owned by the U.S. Forest Service. This 23,356-acre property offers hunting opportunities for deer, bear, turkey and small game. No ATVs are allowed on the property.

This 19,955-acre property offers hunting opportunities for deer, bear, turkey and small game as well as many other forms of recreation. The vast majority of this property is owned by the U.S. Forest Service who manages all non-hunting aspects of the their property such as recreation and land management. No ATVs are allowed on the property.
Cooper's Creek Wildlife Management Area is one of Georgia's larger wildlife management areas. It spans more than 30,000 acres, and lies within the Chattahoochee National Forest. This WMA is located in the extreme northeast corner of Georgia and nearly borders North Carolina. This WMA offers hunting opportunities for deer, bear, turkey and small game. Cohutta Wildlife Management Area is located in Murray, Fannin and Gilmer counties. This 96,583-acre property is owned primarily by the U.S. Forest Service with additional properties annually leased to provide hunting opportunities for deer, turkey and small game. Over 158 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails are open to the public.
This 669-acre state-owned Wildlife Management Area is in Northwest Georgia (Chattooga County). Bisected by the East Fork of the Little River positioned on top of a plateau on the Lookout Mountain chain, this area features an interspersion of upland mixed pine hardwood forests and old fields as well as unique natural rock outcrops. Popular hunting opportunities include archery deer, turkey, and small game such as squirrel and rabbit as well as is used for furbearer dog training.
This 1,642-acre Wildlife Management Area is located in the Ridge and Valley ecoregion of Northwest Georgia in Walker County sharing a boundary with the adjacent Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA. Hunting interests primarily include turkey, archery deer and squirrel. Most of the area was originally acquired as a state natural area.
