Location: Berry College, Mount Berry
These cameras focus on bald eagles nesting in a tall pine near the Cage Center on Berry College's 27,000-acre campus in northwest Georgia. Nesting activity typically occurs from fall through April-May. This year the eagles laid an egg on Jan. 3 and a second Jan. 8. The first eaglet -- B8 -- hatched Feb. 11 and the second eaglet -- B9 -- early on Feb. 13. The adults also laid two eggs last January. Both of those young fledged in May.
To address high band-width use, the eagle cams now include advertisements at the start via LiveStream, which hosts the streams. Berry College has control over content and will work to ensure it is appropriate.
